Family photo outfit and location ideas

A few weeks ago, I put together some looks for Fall Family photo outfit inspiration. My number one style tip when it comes to family photos is to pick moms’ outfit first. Choose what you like and feel best in first, and then work the kids and your husband in around that. I asked my lovely Instagram followers what vibe they were going for this year for photos and came up with some looks based off of their responses. Read on for 5 looks and suggested locations to shoot at as well.

Looking for a clean, studio space for pictures? Try The Lumen Room located in Eado. Bright, bold colors really pop against an all white backdrop. Have fun with your outfits!

The downtown Houston skyline is one of my favorite sights in the city. The way the highrise buildings shine during golden hour is stunning. Rich, Fall-tone colors make the perfect match. Head to the Sabine Street Bridge to get the perfect shot.

I’m glad we have Galveston, but if you’re going for the white-sand beach look, you’ll have to head to Florida for your pictures. I know many of you head that way for an annual trip, so be sure to plan ahead next time and dress the part wearing blues, white, and linen.

I love the idea of more natural, candid pictures at home. Whether you’re posed on the couch, or on your front porch, keep your wardrobe laid-back and effortless in denim.

Saved the most formal of the looks for last! If you aren’t familiar with North and South Boulevard in Boulevard Oaks (near West U), you are in for a treat. The sidewalks are lined with live oak trees, creating a canopy amid beautiful, historic homes. Dress to impress in your most traditional and elevated looks that will blend seamlessly with the setting.
